Artist Statement
Although my early training at the Art Institute of Chicago focused on the study of the old masters, my recent work has become more abstract.
I am exhilarated by the challenge of evoking ideas in the viewer. Just a brushstroke on a canvas gives me a freedom to do anything I envision.
Aside from the dimensions of the canvas itself, there are no limits. I enjoy examining the canvas, exploring depth and dimensions to create a piece that challenges the intellect, invites curiosity, and creates pleasure.
